Need help with Eggspectations?

Eggspectations is a chicken-keeping companion for exploring egg colors, chicken genetics, and possible breeds behind mystery eggs.

Egg Color Predictor

Choose a hen and rooster breed to explore possible egg colors their offspring may produce.

Predictions are educational estimates. Actual egg color can vary because of genetics, individual breeding lines, mixed ancestry, age, diet, and other factors.

Egg Detective

Egg Detective helps narrow down possible breeds based on:

• Egg color

• Speckles

• Bloom

• Finish

• Egg size

• Optional photo color sampling

To use photo assistance, choose Take Photo or Choose From Photos, then tap the eggshell in the image to sample its color.

Camera and Photos

Eggspectations processes selected photos locally on your device. Photos are not uploaded to Redline Networks.

Troubleshooting

If the camera does not open, check that Eggspectations has Camera permission in iPhone Settings.

If a feature does not respond, close and reopen the app and try again.
